Groups offer a unique experience in communicating with others.  The effects of examining our communication:  how we speak, how we listen–can impact all of our relationships, whether intimate, personal or professional.   A group therapy setting provides the opportunity to express ourself, to act and react to one another, and to examine our individual methods of delivery and of listening.  Group experience can be powerful as an adjunct to individual therapy or on its own.  Several groups and workshops are offered.

A Room of Your Own

An Examination of Authentic Beauty

This day-long workshop is for women brave and curious enough to focus on beauty and our bodies and our relationship to both.  Examining our lives we consider our concepts of beauty, what we identify as beautiful in ourselves and in others, where and how we find beauty in our world, and the impact these views have on all the other parts of our lives.  Through the use of art therapy, meditation, and dialogue, we focus on the judgments we live with in this culture, both from self and others,  we learn about Self-Acceptance Training (living without judgment) and techniques for living creatively and with an reawakened awareness of beauty.
